At 10:10 on November 9, 2018, a delegation of 50 members of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress visited the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Beijing) and investigated the progress made in the expanding and opening up of comprehensive pilot programs in the service sector. Mr. Song Jianming, executive deputy director of the Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone Management Committee, accompanied the delegation.

During the visit, General Manager Liu Wu and Assistant to the General Manager, Chen Gang of Beijing Cultural Investment International Holdings Co., Ltd. introduced the planning and development of the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Beijing) to the members of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress, and guided the delegates to visit the 2018 “Belt and Road” key programs of cultural trade and investment designated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Senior executives from Beijing Huajiang Culture Development Co., Ltd. and AER (Beijing) Culture Co., Ltd. also provided detailed information on companies and programs to the members of the Municipal People's Congress.

The delegates expressed keen interest in key programs such as the overseas development of gold-plating technology, the international DIY plan of China's century-old wood painting art, Baniao Culture’s cooperation in Seattle, the design, service, marketing, and promotion of Zijin Guanghua ceramics cultural and creative products, the Arabic national film and television broadcasting service platform, the overseas marketing and promotion of featured Keemun black tea cultural products, "Cross Music" Chinese opera and jazz tour, among others. The delegates also consulted on policies related to cultural trade, preferential policies for enterprises entering the base, and expressed their appreciation for the progress achieved by the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Beijing). Some of the delegates exchanged preliminary opinions with Liu Wu regarding long-term trade cooperation and trade platform building.

Established under the cooperation framework of China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and officially licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Beijing) and the Culture Free Port of Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone serve as a national-level service platform for international cultural trade. Following the requirements of “The Belt and Road” development initiative and culture development strategies, the NBICT takes advantage of the airport bonded policy, functions and services to provide domestic and foreign cultural institutions with international services such exhibition and experience, communication and promotion, transaction settlement, incubation and cultivation, financing and investment, and warehousing and logistics, based on three functional zones, namely the Gathering Center for International Cultural Trade Enterprises, the Exhibition, Warehousing and Logistics Center for International Cultural Products, and the Trading Service Center for International Cultural commodities. With its construction and development based in Beijing, the NBICT is committed to serving the whole country and even the rest of the world, and developing into a center for global cultural exhibition, exchanges and trade.
