The First Museum Transaction Copyright Training Session Was Successfully Held

On July 25 and 26, 2018, the first museum copyright transaction training session was held at the National Base for International Cultural Trade (NBICT) (Beijing).

     On July 25 and 26, 2018, the first museum copyright transaction training session was held at the National Base for International Cultural Trade (NBICT) (Beijing). The training was hosted by the Professional Committee on Marketing and Public relations of Chinese Museums Association, the Committee on Artwork Copyright of the Copyright Society of China, and the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Beijing), and organized by Chinese Museum Cultural and Creative (Beijing) Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Beijing Service Center for International Cultural Trade. 71 cultural and creative leaders and business workers from 45 museums across China attended the training.

     At the opening ceremony of the training, Liu Wu, Vice President and General Manager of Beijing Cultural Investment International Holdings Co., Ltd., expressed his welcome to all the trainees and said that platforms at the national, Beijing Municipal, the Free Trade Zone, and the territorial levels have been built for museums to going out to engage in domestic and international cooperation. Speaking on behalf of the trainees, Ding Fuli, Deputy Director of Henan Museum, shared his experience in museum management and cultural creativity, his reasons for attending the training and his expectations for the training. 

     On July 25, the following five teachers explained the legal issues arisen in the cultural and creative development of museums from multiple perspectives, and shared their own experience in exploring IP authorization.

     On July 26, Liang Fei, a senior consultant of Beijing Zhengxin Law Firm, analyzed the key points of copyright transaction contracts. Huang Qixian, the founder of Chinese Trading Center for Cultural and Creative Commodities, provided guidance on the concrete methods for the authorization, design, and operations management of cultural and creative products, and organized group discussions.
