The National Base for International Cultural Trade, namely the cultural bonded area of the Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone is planned to cover an area of around 235 mu with a gross floor area of around 50,000 square meters. The project is estimated to attract RMB 5 billion in total.
The construction project will undergo three phases, and will be put into operation by phases. The Base in three phases will respectively serve as a national cultural trade business cluster, an international display, exhibition, warehouse and logistics center for cultural products and an international service center for cultural product transaction.
Phase I has completed and the international cultural trade business cluster will be put into operation. The center, covering an area of 85 mu with a floor area of 192,000 square meters, is made up of 28 buildings whose office areas ranging from 1660 to 8000 square meters. The height of the first floor is 5.4 meters, and the rest of the floors are all 4.2 meters high. It has been focusing on introducing outstanding cultural and trade enterprises from home and abroad to promote the development, production, manufacturing, exhibition, leasing, procurement and distribution of cultural products, with an aim to build an international and intensive cultural product production and service platform that brings together Chinese and international leading cultural enterprises.
The international display,exhibition, warehouse and logistics center for cultural products of phase II is under construction, which is planned to cover an area of 125 mu with a floor area of 224,000 square meters. Investments will be channeled to build high-tech film and television studios with internationally advanced equipment to provide supporting services for the display and exhibition, bonded production, copyright trade and financing of international film, television and performance.
The service center for international cultural product transaction of phase III is still under planning and design. The area is planned to cover an area of 25.3 mu with a floor area of 65,000 square meters. Once built, it will offer basic services and serve as an agency in international cultural trade, product display, conference and exhibition, export and import agency, trade consulting, finance, transaction and delivery for enterprises in the Base.
